SETEMIP-Environnement / CYCLECO has a significant experience in the development of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) tools (programs, calculation spread sheets) specific to industrial sectors (e.g. Chemistry, Construction, Infrastructure, etc.).

The objective is to allow the development of LCA studies by companies and their employees not familiar to LCA.

Developments include :

• The adaptation of the LCA terminology, the development of the LCA tool in the mother tongue,
• The selection of a priority data set among the thousands of data entries available,
• The development of a comfortable user interface for non-LCA expert users,
• The implementation of an application guide for LCA for the industrial sector or the specific company.

The LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) tools are developed in the format of macro Excel either using JAVA or using the support of the freely available LCA programme “OPEN LCA” launched in September 2008.
